Municipal Shared Services, South Shore Region (MSS) is a collaborative service delivery organization created by the District of Lunenburg, the Town of Bridgewater, and the Town of Mahone Bay. Since 2013, we’ve been working behind the scenes to support municipal operations with specialized, high-quality services that are grounded in partnership and professionalism.

By working together, our partner municipalities access a higher level of service, specialized expertise, and economies of scale. MSS enables collaboration without sacrificing local control — improving outcomes while respecting individual municipal priorities. 

Governed by Our Partners

MSS is overseen by a joint board of elected representatives from each partner municipality. Our governance structure ensures that services are aligned with municipal priorities, responsive to evolving needs, and transparent in delivery.
